Introduced in 2011 by IIM Indore, the Integrated Programme in Management allows students to join an IIM directly after Class 12 without undergoing a separate undergraduate degree and CAT exam. Students complete 3 years of foundational management and liberal arts education (BBA) followed by 2 years of the flagship Master of Business Administration (MBA).

The Integrated Programme in Management (IPM) is a 5-year dual degree (BBA + MBA) program for Class 12 students. It was pioneered by IIM Indore in 2011 and is now offered by IIM Rohtak, IIM Ranchi, IIM Bodh Gaya, and IIM Jammu.
IPMAT Indore is used for IIM Indore, IIM Ranchi, and IIFT Kakinada. IPMAT Rohtak is conducted exclusively for IIM Rohtak. JIPMAT (Joint Integrated Programme in Management Admission Test) is conducted by the NTA for IIM Bodh Gaya and IIM Jammu.
Yes. Students from Arts, Humanities, and Commerce without Maths can crack IPMAT. While IIM Indore includes Higher Math topics, the majority of the Quant syllabus is based on Class 9-10 Arithmetic and Algebra. IPMAT Rohtak and JIPMAT are strongly arithmetic and logical reasoning oriented.
Candidates shortlisted based on IPMAT scores must undergo Stage-2: Written Ability Test (WAT) and/or Personal Interview (PI). The final composite score combines exam score, interview performance, and past academic records.
